One of the most famous horror movie ever made is The Exorcist directed by William Friedkin in 1973. It has been 43 years but still, people can feel the horror atmosphere when watching the movie.

And finally, the movie director, William Friedkin saw the real exorcism. He shared this experience in Cannes Film Festival, French.

He said that he was invited by the Vatican, “I was invited by the Vatican exorcist to shoot and video an actual exorcism which… few people have ever seen and which nobody has ever photographed.”

Friedkin admitted that he was surprised that the real exorcism is much similar to the movie and only few things that make them different. In the movie, the one who got possesed was a girl while the one who got the real exorcism was a 14 years old boy.

“I’m convinced that there waas no other explanation. I read the diaries not only of the priest involved (in the exorcism), but the doctors, the nurses and the patients at Alexian Brothers Hospotal in Saint Louis where this case was carried out.”

“Everything having to do with medical science and psychiaty was attempted. This young men suffered from afflictions very similar to what’s in the film, as hard is that to believe.” He said.

About his belief, Friedkin said, “I made this story as a believer. I’m not Catholic, I don’t go to church, I don’t belong to a church or a synagogue. I do believe in the teachings of Jesus.”
