Old but still kicking, guess who? It would be Morgan Freeman, a 79-year-old actor who – if the deal works out – will do his ‘action’ in a new Disney’s fantasy film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The film itself is a live-action adaptation of Hoffman’s short story which is The Nutcracker and the Mouse King in 1816.
Still in the phase of negotiation, he is booked to play a mysterious figure, Drosselmeyer.
Freeman will be accompanied by Misty Copeland and Mackenzie Foy, whom already joined the fantasy film’s project before him. This live-action project is produced by Mark Gordon with Lindy Goldstein as the executive production while the screenplay of the film is written by Ashleigh Powell and will be directed by Lasse Hallstorm.
Recently starring at London Has Fallen, and with – still – two upcoming movies in 2017, his not-so-young age is proven to be no obstacle for him. With his appearance, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms will be a long-waited movie.
