The Wolverine 3 will probably be the last movie Hugh Jackman plays as Wolverine. However, the mutant character with iron claws will not just be gone.

According to Ace Showbiz, Bryan Singer as the director stated that it is possible for the upcoming X-Force to have the female version of Wolverine, X-23.

“I have discussed that with the studio (20th Century Fox). I actually pitched the X-Force and the female” said Singer in an interview with Fandango.

Singer also explained that Simon Kinberg as the producer is still working on the script and it is still in the earliest stage. It means that they won’t use the script written Jeff Wadlow.

Looking at Deadpool success, Singer wants the X-Force to be an R-rated movie. The comic creator, Rob Liefield had confirmed it in 2014 and the movie actually was actually ready to be released in 2018, but it was delayed because Fox tried to focus on X-Men: Apocalypse to be released as soon as possible.
