Since leaving WWE TV with an injury, many fans have wondered when we will see John Cena make his return to the WWE.

We saw the leader of the Cenation at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas at the start of April in what was a very memorable segment with two of his former WrestleMania foes – The Rock and Bray Wyatt.

Despite the large number of boos an entrance by John Cena earns, it is hard to deny that the WWE is missing something without him.

Everyone is wondering when they will see him running down the aisle once again but that may be an unhappy answer for fans of the Face that runs the place.

Cena is now not expected back until late may, this could put him in line for a return either at or after the Extreme Rules PPV.

Cena’s last match on PPV was against Alberto Del Rio when he lost the United States Championship at Hell in a Cell last year.

Now having been largely absent since then, Cena looked to have overcome his injury during his performance at WrestleMania.

That proved to be false though since we haven’t seen him since the show in Dallas and it now looks like he could be back just in time for a big run towards Summer Slam.

There have been rumours that Cena is set to enter a big 12 months when he does finally make his return though.

Rumours linking Cena with a record tying 16th title reign in the coming months followed by a spectacular WrestleMania clash could make this the biggest year of Cena’s career.

Cena will be back soon but if his first big match will be at Summer Slam, it remains to be seen who he could face on the path to Brooklyn.

Since leaving WWE TV though, there have been a lot of changes on the main roster, with the likes of the Bullet Club, Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin now making their impact felt, it will be interesting to see what Cena fits in.
